| Ryan Evans has spent his entire life being almost completely dependent upon his fraternal twin sister, Sharpay. Though capable of thinking for himself, he tends to follow his sister's lead in most situations, and seems content enough with keeping her happy, rather than tending to his own needs, even if he is reluctant upon occasions. Often taken completely for granted, it's only been the last year or so that Ryan has finally started to truly grow up, making himself known as a separate human being rather than 'Sharpay's poodle'. He’s even begun to realise that he can stand up for himself without needing to hide behind his twin at all times, and appears to be becoming a better man because of it. With a flamboyant dress sense and attitude, it's rare that Ryan's seen in anything other than bright colours and expensive clothing, often wearing hats to match the outfit, and changing it all around frequently. Such is the advantage of having rich parents. As for his manner, he's generally seen as enthusiastic, friendly, approachable, His dislike for conflict, coupled with a lifetime of being over-shadowed by his sister, leaves Ryan with a fairly submissive nature, though he's still perfectly capable of standing up for himself when the situation arises. (Even to the extent of secretly plotting the downfall of his own sister. But that was just the one time.) Yet playing the role as the ever-suffering brother has left him with an occasionally low self-esteem that is generally covered over with a jokingly high ego, or a purposeful awkwardness in some conversations. And while he's well-mannered and respectable on the whole, he has his rich parents to thank for his spoilt upbringing, which often leaves him with the impression that he can get what he wants when he wants. He won't hesitate to request as much either. He tends to hide his emotions up his sleeve, has a tendency to over-dramatise every thing he does and says, and has a father who would really rather have him straight, but on the whole, Ryan rarely stops smiling, and adores his family to pieces. The life of a teenager is never straightforward. |
